Veteran Elvis Presley fans will welcome these BBC tributes to Elvis bearing in mind the excellent 1987 BBC Documentary depicting his extraordinary life and his astounding influence on hundreds if not thousands of artists including John Lennon,Dylan, Springsteen and Paul McCartney etc.

As a teenager in the 1950s I witnesed Elvis arrival on the scene and like a great many others was instantly seduced by his amazing voice.
These days it is our great-grandchildren's turn to hear that voice that haunts the world of popular like no voice before or since managed to do, so profoundly.

BBC Radio 2 are to be congratulated on producing such an extensive tribute to Elvis on what would have beeen his 75th Birthday. No other entertainer has captured the imagination of the general public more than Elvis. From soap operas to films, from CD's and DVD's to MP3's from advertisements to impersonators. And it must be remembered we are talking about a performer who died in 1977. He is amazing and his legacy will continue forever.

Thank you BBC Radio 2 for what sounds like a wonderful series of documentaries to commemorate the 75th birthday of the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen or heard. I will definately be listening to them with my husband. As will many of our friends (aged from 19 years to 65 years) all of whom are Elvis fans.

There are not enough tributes to Elvis considering the astounding impact he had on the world of entertainment. So congratulations on producing this one.
