Cheryl Cole starts divorce action
X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has begun divorce proceedings to officially end her marriage to England football star Ashley Cole, sources claim.
The papers have been filed at London's High Court, and blame the split on the "unreasonable behaviour" of the Chelsea footballer.
The pair's marriage ended in February after nearly four years, following newspaper claims that Ashley had cheated on Cheryl.
The allegations started two years ago, when two women sold stories about relationships with the footballer. However Cheryl, who scored a number one with Fight For This Love, appeared to have forgiven him.
But more recent reports of infidelity seemed to be the final straw, and Cheryl was reported to have ended her marriage via text message.
As part of a "quickie" divorce deal, The Sun reports that Cheryl will let Ashley keep their £6 million Surrey mansion.
Despite the problems in her personal life, Cheryl's career has gone from strength to strength, with three top ten singles and a number one album, 3 Words. She is currently on tour supporting the Black Eyed Peas.
