Following its success over the past two years, Zane Lowe's "Masterpieces" returns to BBC Radio 1 from Monday 30 November (7.00-9.00pm).

Over four consecutive nights Zane dedicates his show to four albums he has crowned "musical masterpieces" for the way they altered the musical landscape at the time of their release.

The four "Masterpieces" albums for 2009 are:

• Monday 30 November: Metallica – Metallica
• Tuesday 1 December: The Streets – Original Pirate Material
• Wednesday 2 December: The Clash – London Calling
• Thursday 3 December: Daft Punk – Discovery

These four iconic albums will be played in their entirety from start to finish, unedited and uninterrupted.

Each show includes interviews with the artists, giving a fascinating insight into how they created their signature sounds; and Zane looks at how they have paved the way for other artists.

Previous Masterpieces have featured albums from among others: The Arctic Monkeys; Public Enemy; The Prodigy; and The Strokes.
