The X Factor results have been counted and the two acts with the least votes have performed in the sing off, meaning the judges had to choose between Jamie and Lloyd, it went to deadlock again, the public voted for Jamie to leave the show. So Jamie has become the sixth X Factor finalist to leave the live shows.

As the results came in, it was Jamie Archer and Lloyd Daniels in the bottom two.

Jamie sang ‘The Show Must Go On’ (Queen) and Lloyd sang ‘Last Request’ (Paolo Nutini). Simon chose to save Jamie, Cheryl saved Lloyd and Louis chose to save Lloyd.
The decision was left to Dannii, who chose to save Jamie because she felt its all about the singing and Jamie had the stronger vocal so it went to deadlock.

The person with the lowest number of public votes was Jamie.

Before the results came in, the final remaining acts performed ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ with Queen’s Brian May on guitar and Roger Taylor on drums.
Shakira performed her new single ‘Did It Again’ and all 12 X Factor finalists were back to perform their charity single in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital ‘You Are Not Alone’.

Brian and Roger talked to Dermot about meeting the contestants earlier in the week.
Brian - We kind of like the girl, she is a very employable lady.
Roger – She turns into somebody else when she sings, but I have to say what a truly great group of people.
Shakira performs her new single ‘Did It Again’
Shakira give the contestants some advice - I would say hard work, intelligent effort, determination, here in the show don’t be afraid of Simon.

Speaking about Great Ormond Street Hospital and the charity single Simon said - We have decided to do this every year on the show, this year we wanted to help Great Ormond Street. We have met the kids and they do an incredible job and it is important to know this is a national charity, and basically they save the lives of thousands of kids every year and all the proceeds of this record will go to this charity.

Mariah Carey and Susan Boyle will be performing on next week's The X Factor Results show on ITV1

All I have to say is that it is very obvious that the show is based on ridiculous ratings instead of talent.Just look at Jedward... what in the name of *!ck is that? Clearly Jamie has far more talent in his left nut than than both thoughs freaks together!Keep your head up Jamie Fame and Fortune await around the corner.

I am so annoyed. Jedward and Lloyd shouldn't have even got through to the live finals.

Jamie is extremely talented. I'm sure he'll have a successful career :)

Think Jamie has more talent than LLoyd, defo. Think votes are fixed though, and Simon only kept the twins in to leave Louis in as mentor, still find it amazing that people with no real talent can make millions, scry that reality factor has taken over from talent factor.
Love Sophie and believe her to be the best of the rest.

Can't believe Louis voted for Lloyd instead of Jamie! Can he not see talent? What am I saying, he put John and Edward through!
Louis Walsh obviously can't see talent anymore even if it is, literally!, right in front of him.
John and Edward should not be here at all. Spoken to some friends and they seem to think it's because of Simons decision last week - but how is that fair? - Really hope Jamie gets a record deal somewhere - and is Louis being sacked or something? 'cause he's been a bit of an idiot this year - not just on this decision, but swearing at the audience and what he said to Dermot.

Jamie is the most talented singer and the most exciting performer of the whole show. He is dynamic and knows how to relate to an audience.
He will rise right above this show, which I am beginning to think is fixed. I wish him well and hope that this is the start of an exciting career for him! Good Luck Jamie!

I enjoy watching Lloyd far more than Jamie so don't think it was a joke tonight .....unlike last week ......which clearly was!! As for Jedward I am sure they are nice kids (if a liitle dim) but they hold no entertainment factor for me & any twins off the street made to perform the same way would do as well. Don't complain about Lloyd when they are still there......

in all fairness, jedward shouldn't have got through this week - okay, they have the entertainment factor, but have no singing quality compared to the remaining 5 whatsoever. stacey has a good quality voice, but she just makes me laugh when she starts speaking - she's a better looking vicky pollard. out of all of them - lloyd is the best looking, and would make a fantastic teenage hearthrob and so ought to win. :)

It is a shame! And it is a FIX. Repeatedly tried to vote for Jamie tonight to be told line busy, obviously not the case when he had the lowest public vote! X factor has become a con asking viewers to vote for their favourite conestants to win, when it seems ITV choose who they want to win anyway!

It's such a shame to see this happen... I don't know whether the only people voting are those who want a joke result to take place or not, but it certainly seems so. Jamie, Rachel, and Lucie were by far of a higher standard than those who are still in the competition. Fair enough, Olly is still there, but this is turning into Britain's Got Talent, not the X Factor! It's a shame that its credibility will be ruined after this series. It would also be good to compare viewer numbers as well as number of votes throughout the rounds to that of previous years.
