Joe still lives with his family in South Sheilds

He started singing a few years ago after playing around on a karaoke machine.


Since then, he’s performed in a few local musicals (inc Grease) and entered the ‘Music Means Life’ competition in 2008.  This is a regional singing competition in North-East and he came 3rd – he’s also entered ‘Pride of Tyne Side’ competition and won ‘performer of the year’.

He entered The X Factor in 2007 and reached Bootcamp but decided to leave the competition as he felt he was too young and wanted more experience (hence entering lots of local competitions).  Since then he feels he made the right decision and is very happy to be back on The X Factor in 2009.

He has just started dance training and would love to perform around the world to thousands of people.

What a voice a lovely lad who I hope goes a long way and just does not get forgotton like so many. A good influence for younger people and will also be attracted to the older folks too.
What a wonderful X Factor Semi and Final show. Lots of people I talk to say I am very sad watching the X Factor but, my reply is what is sad 7296fdabout watching people who have come from nowhere produce better watching than some of the overpaid professionals.

He would be good at singing for disney, otherwise he is boring. Danyl is the winner and should have won x factor but people in UK dont have a taste in music!

i think he already has every note in his mouth when hes singing, he never gives a bad performance.
